About Sno Con Amor
Lauda Flores grew up around sweet things. She learned to make Mexican paletas, snow cones, and ice cream alongside her parents in their parlor Los Alpes Paleteria, an establishment once lauded by Pulitzer Prize-winning food critic Jonathan Gold. Clearly, a penchant for cooking is in Lauda’s genes, but she went into the entertainment industry in adulthood. However, years later, she found herself missing the treats from her childhood. These types of goodies were seriously underrepresented in Los Angeles, CA. Lauda took it upon herself to make a change with Sno Cone Amor. Now, she whips up Mexican-style snow cones to Angelenos looking to get their sugar fix in style.
Lauda was in part inspired to go into business because snow cones were a dying breed as they’re so frequently full of artificial ingredients. Not only is this bad for your body, it’s a deterrent for your taste buds. After all, chemical-laden treats often have an acerbic aftertaste. Lauda decided to go all-natural with her snow cones, using syrups flavored with only real fruits, vegetables, and herbs. And, trust us, you’ll taste the different. Flavors run the gamut, the menu offering everything from classic flavors like pineapple and chocolate to decadent concoctions. Strawberry seasoned with a splash of rosewater? Grapefruit blended with vanilla and lavender? Yes, please. For a stylish take on the carnival classic, stop by Sno Con amor. Or, better yet, book ‘em for your next event. This will be a unique, enviable dessert table sure to leave guests raving.
